Job Title: International Compliance Specialist

LS Global specializes in optimizing business operations worldwide through expert outsourcing. We are currently recruiting for one of our clients for an International Compliance Specialist position. This role is responsible for supporting client’s international compliance activities by ensuring adherence to applicable regulatory requirements, maintaining compliance documentation, coordinating with internal and external business partners, and monitoring processes that support the lawful movement of goods throughout the global supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support compliance with applicable international regulations, policies, and procedures impacting the movement of goods within the client’'s global supply chain.
- Maintain required compliance documentation, records, certifications, and supporting files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.
- Partner with suppliers, logistics providers, freight forwarders, customs partners, and internal stakeholders to facilitate compliant international operations.
- Review shipping, product, and vendor documentation to identify potential compliance issues, discrepancies, or missing information and coordinate timely resolution.
- Support regulatory reporting requirements, audits, inquiries, and compliance reviews by preparing documentation and responding to information requests.
- Track regulatory changes and communicate relevant updates, risks, and process impacts to appropriate business partners.
- Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining standard operating procedures and compliance-related process controls.
- Conduct routine compliance monitoring, risk assessments, and operational reviews to identify compliance risks, process gaps, control weaknesses, and opportunities for process improvement and risk mitigation.
- Identify, document, and escalate potential compliance risks and regulatory concerns while partnering with internal stakeholders to implement corrective actions and preventive controls.
- Provide guidance and training to internal business partners regarding international compliance requirements, documentation standards, and established procedures. Support special projects, system implementations, process improvement initiatives, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, Compliance, or related field preferred; equivalent education and experience considered.
- 5+ years of experience in international compliance, logistics, transportation, supply chain operations, regulatory compliance, or related fields.
- Experience in retail, distribution, manufacturing, consumer products, or eCommerce environments preferred.
- Strong organizational, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting international suppliers, transportation providers, global supply chain operations, audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory documentation preferred.
- Knowledge of international compliance requirements, supply chain processes, and transportation documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, TMS, ERP, compliance systems, or related technologies preferred.
