Job Title: Transportation Coordinator

LS Global specializes in optimizing business operations worldwide through expert outsourcing. We are currently recruiting for one of our clients for a Transportation Coordinator position. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of the client's inbound and outbound transportation operations. This position coordinates freight movement across stores, distribution centers, vendors, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure cost-effective, timely, and compliant delivery of products throughout the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily inbound and outbound freight activity across stores, distribution centers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively address service disruptions, delivery delays, and transportation exceptions.
- Work closely with carriers, brokers, and freight providers to ensure service expectations, routing requirements, and delivery commitments are met.
- Track and report transportation performance metrics, including on-time delivery, freight costs, shipment exceptions, and service levels.
- Maintain compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and routing requirements.
- Support transportation management system (TMS) administration, shipment tracking, reporting, and process execution.
- Review transportation-related data and reports to identify operational trends, service opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Partner with Distribution Center, Merchandising, Inventory, and Store Operations teams to support efficient product flow throughout the network.
- Assist with transportation vendor management activities, including documentation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Support transportation projects, system enhancements, process improvements, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- 2-4 years of transportation, logistics, supply chain, distribution, or related experience; experience supporting retail, distribution center, or multi-location operations preferred; experience working with transportation management systems and carrier networks preferred.
- Knowledge of transportation, distribution, and supply chain operations with strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and transportation management systems, with the ability to analyze data, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support internal and external partners while working independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
