JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) is seeking a qualified and motivated Project Officer to support the implementation of a reconciliation and social cohesion project in Zubin Potok municipality. The project focuses on strengthening inter-community trust, improving communication between communities and local institutions, and supporting inclusive dialogue and community cooperation initiatives.
The Project Officer will support the overall coordination and implementation of project activities, including stakeholder engagement, dialogue sessions, community initiatives, surveys, monitoring activities, and reporting processes. The position requires close cooperation with municipal representatives, community leaders, civil society organizations, and local communities.
General responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support implementation of project activities and field operations;
- Organize and facilitate dialogue sessions, community meetings, workshops, and joint initiatives;
- Coordinate implementation of household surveys, community consultations, and data collection activities;
- Maintain regular communication and coordination with municipalities, communities, CSOs, and other stakeholders;
- Support monitoring, reporting, documentation, and activity tracking;
- Assist with survey supervision, data verification, and field coordination;
- Ensure activities are implemented in an inclusive and conflict-sensitive manner;
- Support preparation of meeting reports, briefing materials, and donor-related documentation;
- Participate in regular coordination and planning meetings with the project team.
Perform other duties as assigned by line manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree in Social Sciences, Political Science, International Relations, Peacebuilding, Public Administration, or related field;
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in project implementation, community engagement, peacebuilding, or civil society programming;
- Previous experience in implementing surveys, field data collection, or community assessments is mandatory;
- Experience working in multi-ethnic or sensitive environments is considered an advantage;
- Strong organizational, communication, and facilitation skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Good computer skills, including MS Office applications;
- Fluency in Serbian language is mandatory;
- Good command of English is required;
- Knowledge of Albanian language is considered an asset.
- Valid driver license B category – manual transmission.
