HSEQ Manager (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality)
The HSEQ Manager will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, environmental protection, quality assurance, and risk management throughout the organization, ensuring the safety of visitors, employees, contractors, animals, and assets.
Leads the HSEQ team, develops policies and procedures, conducts risk assessments, monitors compliance, coordinates training programs, and supports departments in achieving the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.
The position plays a critical role in protecting guests, employees, contractors, and animals while ensuring that the park operates according to legal requirements, international best practices, and organizational standards.
On a daily basis, the HSEQ Manager conducts inspections, reviews incidents and corrective actions, evaluates safety performance, monitors compliance activities, supports operational departments, and ensures that identified risks are addressed proactively.
The role is also responsible for emergency preparedness programs, evacuation planning, safety drills, food safety oversight, environmental sustainability initiatives, contractor safety management, quality audits, and continuous improvement programs.
During weekends, holidays, special events, and peak attendance periods, the HSEQ Manager ensures that safety measures remain effective, emergency response teams are prepared, and operational risks are continuously monitored and managed.
Ultimately, the HSEQ Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining a culture of safety, quality, environmental responsibility, and operational excellence throughout Bosco Amusement Park & Zoo, ensuring the wellbeing of everyone who visits or works within the destination.
The HSEQ Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the organization's Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Management Systems.
The HSEQ Manager serves as an independent advisor to the General Manager and Executive Committee on all matters relating to safety, risk, compliance, environmental stewardship, and operational quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the organization's HSEQ strategy and annual objectives.
- Establish HSEQ policies, procedures, and management systems.
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
- Advise senior management on HSEQ risks and improvement opportunities.
- Lead HSEQ committees and safety review meetings.
Health & Safety Management
- Develop and maintain occupational health and safety programs.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification programs.
- Monitor workplace safety performance.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
Visitor Safety & Attraction Safety
- Develop visitor safety programs for all attractions and public areas.
- Monitor safety compliance in amusement rides, karting operations, sports facilities, lake activities, and entertainment venues.
- Participate in attraction commissioning, testing, and operational audits.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Operations to ensure safe operation of all facilities.
Zoo Safety & Animal Risk Management
- Support zoo safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Monitor animal containment and public safety standards.
- Participate in animal emergency planning and incident response.
- Coordinate with the Zoo Division on safety audits and compliance.
Environmental Management
- Develop environmental sustainability initiatives.
- Monitor waste management, recycling, and pollution prevention programs.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Support water conservation and energy efficiency programs.
- Promote environmental awareness among employees and visitors.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Establish food safety programs and standards.
- Monitor hygiene compliance across all food and beverage outlets.
- Conduct food safety audits and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP and food hygiene regulations.
- Coordinate food safety training programs.
Quality Assurance
- Develop operational quality standards and audit programs.
- Conduct inspections and quality reviews across all departments.
- Monitor guest feedback and service quality indicators.
- Recommend improvements to operational standards and procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Emergency Preparedness & Crisis Management
- Develop emergency response plans and procedures.
- Coordinate emergency drills and training exercises.
- Participate in crisis management planning.
- Ensure readiness for fire, medical, weather, animal, and security-related emergencies.
- Coordinate with Security and local emergency services.
Compliance & Auditing
- Conduct internal audits and inspections.
- Monitor compliance with laws, regulations, and company standards.
- Prepare HSEQ reports and performance dashboards.
- Maintain documentation and compliance records.
- Coordinate external inspections and certifications.
Contractor Safety Management
- Establish contractor safety requirements.
- Conduct contractor safety inductions.
- Monitor contractor compliance with HSEQ standards.
- Participate in project safety reviews and contractor evaluations.
Pre-Opening Responsibilities
- Develop HSEQ policies and manuals.
- Conduct pre-opening risk assessments.
- Participate in operational readiness reviews.
- Establish emergency response systems.
- Support recruitment and HSEQ training programs.
Required Qualifications
Mandatory:
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Risk Management, Quality Management, Public Health, or a related field.
Preferred:
- Master's Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Management, Risk Management, Business Administration (MBA), or a related discipline.
Professional certifications are highly desirable.

Required Experience
Essential
