About the Role
We are looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer (Microsoft Azure) to design, build, and maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure for a new digital platform. You will work closely with Engineering, AI, Security, and Product teams to establish the platform's Azure infrastructure, deployment processes, monitoring, and operational foundations.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and build containerized, multi-tenant Azure infrastructure with regional deployment and data-residency requirements in mind.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AI services, backend applications, and client applications.
- Manage Azure AI infrastructure, including Azure AI Foundry / Azure OpenAI and integration between cloud and local AI models.
- Administer and architect Microsoft 365 tenants and integrate device management through Microsoft Intune.
- Build monitoring, logging, observability, and auditing capabilities across the platform.
- Design infrastructure that can scale across multiple tenants, regions, and increasing user volumes.
- Work closely with AI and Security Engineers to maintain secure infrastructure and network boundaries.
- Support infrastructure architecture, technical planning, and effort estimation.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code and cloud automation practices.
What We Require From You
- Strong hands-on experience running production workloads on Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with compute, networking, containers, Kubernetes and/or Azure Container Apps.
- Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Bicep, Terraform, or similar technologies.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments and device management through Intune or comparable MDM solutions.
- Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, or equivalent managed AI/LLM platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD technologies such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of multi-tenant cloud architecture and regional data-residency requirements.
- Understanding of GDPR, data segregation, and cloud security principles.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, 0-to-1 development environment.
- Fluent English (C1 level) is required.
- German language skills would be considered an advantage.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with platforms handling sensitive or protected personal data.
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-500, or similar.
- Experience deploying and managing infrastructure across multiple regions or tenants.
- Experience supporting AI/LLM infrastructure and agent-based applications.
