About the Role
We are looking for a mid-level backend developer to join the team building and maintaining our platforms. These are production systems used by international organizations for field data collection, monitoring and reporting.
You will own features end to end, from the database schema to the API endpoint working in an established .NET codebase with clear architectural conventions.
This is a hands-on engineering role. You will not be writing CRUD to specification; you will be designing and delivering features, reviewing your colleagues' code, and taking responsibility for what you ship.
What You Will Do
- Design and implement features across our ASP.NET Core Web APIs, following the existing Clean Architecture / layered structure.
- Model and evolve the data layer with Entity Framework Core (code-first migrations).
- Write background jobs, integrate message queues and real-time notifications (Hangfire, RabbitMQ, SignalR).
- Integrate third-party services.
- Write unit and integration tests for the code you deliver.
- Diagnose and fix production issues on staging and live environments.
- Review pull requests and contribute to our shared internal libraries.
What We Require
- 3+ years of professional backend development with C# / .NET.
- Solid experience with ASP.NET Core Web API (REST) — .NET 6 or newer.
- Entity Framework Core.
- SQL Server.
- Git in a team setting.
- Able to work independently on a task from start to finish, and to ask the right questions when a specification does not hold up.
- Working English, wTritten and spoken.
