Product Designer (UI/UX)
About us
We are a Prishtina-based company and a subsidiary of Firma.ch AG in Zug, Switzerland. We are at the very beginning — the brand exists, the strategy is set, and the product is being built now.
The role
You will be our first design hire. That means you are not decorating someone else’s screens: you own how Firma.ch looks, feels, and works, from the first wireframe to the shipped interface.
You will work directly with our Tech Lead and with the founder in Switzerland, in a team small enough that your decisions are visible in the product within days.
What you will do
- Design the core product end to end: business directory, map search, company profiles, onboarding, and the dashboard businesses use to manage their listing
- Build and maintain our design system in Figma — components, tokens, and documentation the engineers can build from directly
- Turn our existing brand identity (Bricolage Grotesque, Manrope, warm ink and Albanian red) into a working interface language
- Design mobile-first: most of our users will arrive on a phone, often on a mediocre connection
- Run lightweight user testing with real business owners and use what you learn to change the design
- Support marketing with landing pages, social assets, and pitch material when needed
What we are looking for
Required
- 2+ years designing digital products (web and mobile), with a portfolio that shows shipped work, not only concepts
- Strong command of Figma, including components, auto-layout, and prototyping
- Solid fundamentals in layout, typography, and interaction design
- Understanding of responsive design and the constraints developers actually work with
- Fluent Albanian and good English
- Ability to explain and defend design decisions — we will disagree with you sometimes, and we want you to argue back
Nice to have
- Experience with marketplaces, directories, or two-sided platforms
- Basic HTML/CSS understanding, or experience working closely with front-end developers
- Experience designing map-based or search-heavy interfaces
- Illustration or motion design skills
