Role Summary
We are looking for a Team Lead to lead and elevate our growing team of product Business Analysts. Working within an eDiscovery and legal-technology environment, the Team Lead is the same-time-zone, on-the-ground point of reference who ensures the Business Analyst team knows what they are working on, that workload is balanced, and that the expectations set by Product Managers are met on time and in scope. The ideal candidate combines the credibility of a strong individual contributor with the people instincts of a leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that expectations of Associate Business Analysts from Product Managers are clear, and implemented on time and to scope.
- Tracking team and product metrics and KPIs – defining what to measure, monitoring delivery, quality and capacity indicators, and reporting progress and trends to Product Managers and leadership.
- Balancing workload across the team – keeping sight of who is at capacity and who has bandwidth, and helping reallocate work accordingly.
- Acting as escalation point whenever there is misalignment between stakeholders, or on agreed scope and deadlines, and facilitating realignment as relevant.
- Mentoring junior team members' development in professional working practices, communication and accountability.
Target Outcomes:
- The team consistently knows what it is working on and why, with clear priorities.
- Deliverables from the Business Analyst team meet Product Manager expectations on time and in scope.
- Workload is visibly balanced; over- and under-utilisation are flagged early.
- Junior colleagues have a credible role model and a benchmark for good performance.
- Good practices – backlog management, ownership, timely communication – are adopted across the team.
- Clear metrics and KPIs are in place and reported regularly, giving leadership visibility into delivery, quality and capacity.
Education and Experience:
- Experience in eDiscovery, legal technology or a related software domain.
- Familiarity with development and product tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, ProductBoard).
- Comfort defining and tracking metrics and KPIs, with experience in reporting and data-visualisation tools (e.g. MS Excel, Power BI, Pendo).
- Experience mentoring or coaching less-experienced colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Computer Science, Information Technology.
