Financial Accountant – Microsoft Business Central & German Accounting Specialist(m/w/d)

Your Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for end-to-end financial accounting and bookkeeping for our German and Kosovar clients using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (including the German localization features)
- Record and post business transactions accurately, perform bank reconciliations, and manage accounts payable/receivable processes
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with German GAAP (HGB) and relevant local accounting standards
- Support tax compliance activities, including VAT returns and preparations for German tax requirements (in close coordination with clients or tax advisors)
- Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures, including accruals, provisions, and reconciliations
- Analyze financial data, create management reports, and provide support for controlling and decision-making
- Communicate professionally with clients and internal stakeholders (in English, ideally also in German)
- Continuously identify opportunities to optimize processes and workflows within Business Central and contribute to digital improvements
- Ensure compliance with principles of proper bookkeeping (GoB/GoBD) and support the preparation of audit-ready documentation
Your Profile
- Completed vocational training as Finanzbuchhalter/in (e.g. IHK) or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
- At least 3–5 years of hands-on professional experience in financial accounting / full-cycle bookkeeping, ideally with international or German clients
- Strong practical experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – confident in the Financial Management modules, posting routines, reporting and ideally already worked with the German localization
- Excellent command of English (business fluent – written and spoken)
- Very good German language skills (minimum B2, ideally C1) or profound knowledge of German accounting and tax regulations (HGB, GoB/GoBD, UStG/VAT)
- Knowledge of Kosovo accounting and tax rules is an advantage
- High accuracy, reliability, strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Proactive mindset, ability to work independently and a genuine team player with strong communication skills
- Willingness to continuously develop expertise in Business Central and German accounting topics
