We are pleased to announce an opening for the position of Cost Control Engineer, offering candidates the opportunity to become part of our partners’ team in Libya. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain project budgets, cost estimates, and cash flow forecasts
- Monitor project costs and analyze budget variances throughout the project lifecycle
- Review contractor invoices, purchase orders, and payment applications to ensure cost accuracy
- Prepare periodic cost control reports and provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency
- Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to ensure effective cost management
- Support forecasting, financial planning, and project close-out activities
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual requirements, and cost control standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or a related field
- Relevant experience in cost control, project controls, quantity surveying, or construction cost management
- Strong understanding of construction costs, budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost control software; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is an advantage
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify cost variances, and recommend corrective actions
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
