Job Title: Senior Accountant

LS Global specializes in optimizing business operations worldwide through expert outsourcing. We are currently recruiting for one of our clients for a Senior Accountant position. This role supports advanced accounting, financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis to ensure accurate and timely financial information. This role takes ownership of assigned accounting processes, drives process improvements, and provides guidance to team members while promoting consistency, accuracy, and best practices across the Finance organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, including the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and analyze complex account reconciliations, ensuring balances are accurate, properly supported, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Take ownership of assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts, proactively identifying risks, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare schedules, reporting packages, and financial analysis that support accurate internal and external financial reporting.
- Provide meaningful variance analysis and financial commentary to support management's understanding of business performance and key financial trends.
- Lead the preparation of special analyses and ad hoc reporting requests by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial data and business trends.
- Partner with cross-functional departments to research accounting issues, improve processes, and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
- Identify and recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and control enhancements that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within the Accounting function.
- Serve as a mentor, subject matter resource, and role model for accounting team members by sharing knowledge, providing guidance, and supporting team development.
- Support audit activities, compliance requirements, special projects, and other strategic initiatives while demonstrating increased leadership and influence across the Accounting organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Master's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
- Excellent English communication skills (C1 level or higher).
- Experience participating in month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and financial analysis required.
- Experience supporting audits and implementing process improvements preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Advanced account reconciliation, financial analysis, and Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience mentoring team members and supporting process improvements.
