Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and qualified Full-Time French Language Teacher to join our international school community on a temporary basis to provide maternity leave coverage, starting December 14, 2026.
The French Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging French language lessons, helping students develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills while ensuring continuity of learning during the regular teacher's maternity leave.
The ideal candidate should be organized, creative, patient, flexible, and passionate about teaching French to students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging French language lessons appropriate to students' ages and learning levels.
Teach French vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
Follow the established curriculum and ensure continuity of instruction during the maternity leave period.
Develop lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and additional support when needed.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning abilities and language proficiency levels.
Encourage students to communicate confidently in French through interactive classroom activities.
Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
Introduce students to French culture, traditions, and customs as part of language learning.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and academic progress.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and school administration.
Collaborate with school staff to ensure a smooth transition and consistent learning experience.
Perform other teaching-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in French Language, French Literature.
Teaching license or relevant teaching certification preferred.
Previous experience teaching French to elementary, middle & high school students.
Strong proficiency in French, both spoken and written.
Good command of English for communication within an international school environment.
Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to create engaging and interactive learning activities.
Patient, responsible, flexible, and enthusiastic about working with children.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an international school team.
Familiarity with international school environments and different teaching methodologies is an advantage.
