We are pleased to announce an opening for the position of Animal Nutrition Supervisor, offering candidates the opportunity to join the team of our partners in Libya. Key Responsibilities
- Animal Nutrition Management: Develop species-specific nutrition programs, prepare balanced diets, and monitor animal feeding practices.
- Food Preparation and Distribution: Supervise daily food preparation, ensure appropriate portion sizes, and coordinate timely distribution.
- Food Procurement and Inventory Management: Plan food requirements, monitor deliveries, maintain inventory records, and minimize food waste.
- Food Storage and Safety: Maintain hygiene standards in storage areas, monitor food expiration dates, prevent contamination, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Veterinary Support: Assist in preparing therapeutic diets, support special nutritional needs, and participate in activities that promote animal welfare.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise food storekeepers and animal keepers, prepare work schedules, and organize staff training.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain animal nutrition records, prepare reports, and provide support during audits and inspections.
- Pre-opening Activities: Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), establish required capacities, coordinate procurement, and recruit and train staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
