What are we looking for?
We are seeking a Translation Coordinator, who will play a pivotal role in managing and facilitating the translation process within our organization.
About the position
Create, coordinate, and manage all translation projects and activities in all languages officially offered by PECB Prepare ISO standards in target languages, as well as extracting glossary for new schemes. Provide support and assistance to the Translation team and contractors as required
Main Responsibilities
- Create, coordinate and monitor all translation requests in all languages through Trados Studio which is our primary Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tool.
- Adapt to AI integration within translation and project management processes to enhance efficiency and optimize workflows.
- Handle Jira requests related to translation and other document-related tasks
- Provide assistance and support to the Translation team as required.
- Maintain the Zoho Projects platform for all projects assigned
- Collaborate with external contractors to facilitate the translation of documents
- Identify relevant standards in the target language and ensure their integration
- Prepare and align documents for efficient translation
- Extract glossaries for newly initiated projects and manage the translation of glossary terms in the target language
- Prioritize tasks and projects effectively to meet deadlines and project requirements
- Uphold and promote best practices within the department, ensuring quality and consistency in translation processes.
- Execute any other duties as directed by management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- English fluency is essential; French and German are advantageous
- Proven experience in translation coordination, project management, or a similar role
- Familiarity with translation management systems and software
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams
- Adaptable and capable of working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to meeting project deadlines
