WE’RE HIRING: ACCOUNTANT (Full-time, On site, Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00)
Connect Consulting is looking for an Accountant to join our team in Prishtina. We are seeking a candidate with hands-on accounting experience in Kosovo who can independently manage day-to-day accounting processes and prepare and understand financial statements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accounting records for client companies in accordance with Kosovo accounting and tax requirements.
- Prepare and submit tax declarations through ATK (Tax Administration of Kosovo).
- Handle company-related procedures and documentation with ARBK (Kosovo Business Registration Agency).
- Record and control sales, purchases, bank transactions, payroll, and other accounting entries.
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger records.
- Prepare Trial Balances, Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and other financial reports.
- Review and interpret financial statements and identify inconsistencies or areas requiring attention.
- Support clients with routine accounting, tax, and administrative matters.
- Ensure accounting records and supporting documentation are accurate, complete, and properly maintained.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of practical accounting experience is required.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Kosovo accounting practices, including ATK procedures and familiarity with ARBK processes.
- Ability to independently prepare and understand Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Trial Balances, and related financial reports.
- Good knowledge of Kosovo tax and accounting practices.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with accounting data.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines.
- English is mandatory.
- Turkish is considered a strong advantage.
- Albanian language proficiency is expected for working with local institutions and documentation.
