About the Role:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Internal Auditor to join the db Group Finance Department in Malta. The successful candidate will support the Group CFO in strengthening internal governance, ensuring compliance, and enhancing operational efficiency across multiple entities within the Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the Internal Audit Plan and assist in developing audit programs and scopes.
- Perform audit procedures, maintain proper documentation, and deliver work within set timelines.
- Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of financial and non-financial operations.
- Map systems, identify weaknesses, and propose actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct follow-ups on outstanding recommendations and monitor implementation progress.
- Prepare internal audit reports and present findings to the Group CFO.
- Support ad hoc audits and reviews requested by management.
- Ensure audit conclusions are well-documented and aligned with professional standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity in all audit activities.
Requirements:
- A-level in Finance or higher qualification (ACCA in progress or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in auditing, risk management, or compliance.
- Solid understanding of internal controls, audit methodologies, and reporting standards.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and audit-related software tools.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
- Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A valid driving license is considered an asset.
