One-on-One Student Assistant
Position Title: One-on-One Student Assistant
Reports To: School Administration and Learning Support Department
Schedule: School Hours (Academic Year Calendar)
Location: QSI Kosovo
Position Summary
QSI Kosovo is seeking a caring and dependable One-on-One Student Assistant to support an individual student's learning, participation, independence, and well-being throughout the school day. The assistant will work closely with teachers, Learning Support staff, and administration to implement established support plans while promoting inclusion, confidence, and student success.
Key Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one support throughout the school day.
Assist with routines, transitions, organization, and participation.
Implement accommodations, intervention strategies, and support plans.
Break tasks into manageable steps and keep the student engaged.
Support attention, self-regulation, social-emotional growth, and independence.
Use prompting, redirection, encouragement, and positive reinforcement.
Support social interactions and participation in school activities.
Monitor and communicate student progress, concerns, and observations.
Collaborate with teachers, Learning Support staff, and administration.
Attend required meetings and training.
Maintain student safety, confidentiality, and professional standards.
Follow all school policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications & Skills
Required

Experience working with school-aged children.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative educational team.
Ability to follow established student support plans and professional guidance.
Professionalism, reliability, and discretion.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries.
English proficiency appropriate for a school environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting students with learning, behavioral, developmental, or social-emotional needs.
Training or experience in education, child development, psychology, special education, or a related field.
Familiarity with inclusive practices, behavior support, accommodations, and assistive technology.
