Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Music Teacher with K-12 experience to join our international school community in Pristina, Kosovo. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop an appreciation for music while building their musical skills, creativity, confidence, and performance abilities.
The Music Teacher will provide engaging and age-appropriate music instruction to students and contribute to school performances, concerts, and other special events.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate music lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Teach fundamental music concepts, including rhythm, melody, notation, and music appreciation.
- Provide opportunities for students to develop vocal and instrumental skills.
- Encourage creativity, participation, and confidence through individual and group musical activities.
- Prepare and support students for school concerts, performances, assemblies, and special events.
- Assess and monitor student progress and provide appropriate feedback.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, administration, and other staff members.
- Incorporate technology and modern teaching strategies into music instruction.
- Maintain and organize musical instruments, equipment, and classroom resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music, Performing Arts, or a related field.
- Have K-12 experience in a private or public school.
- Teaching license or recognized teaching certification preferred.
- Previous experience teaching music to school-aged children.
- Ability to teach vocal and/or instrumental music.
- Ability to play at least one musical instrument; proficiency in piano or guitar is an advantage.
- Experience working in an international school setting is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Enthusiasm for working with children and a passion for music education.
