About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Shared Services to lead the Group’s transactional finance operations in Malta. The successful candidate will oversee the shared service framework for finance, drive process standardization, and ensure best-in-class delivery across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and related functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the technical and operational framework of the finance shared service function.
- Design, implement, and monitor internal controls and governance procedures.
- Ensure compliance with reporting regulations and group policies.
- Lead the implementation and continuous development of finance systems and automation tools.
- Manage group-wide transactional finance operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and optimize processes for effective delivery of financial services.
- Drive cost efficiencies, process improvements, and standardization across entities.
- Define and track KPIs and SLAs to ensure high-quality service levels.
- Identify root causes of process issues and lead corrective actions.
- Oversee change management and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance operations team.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience leading a Shared Services or Finance Operations function, ideally within a multinational or fast-growing organization.
- Strong background in transactional finance (AP, AR, Payroll, etc.) and related systems
- Proven success in implementing scalable processes, controls, and governance frameworks.
- Experience driving automation, efficiency, and standardization in finance processes.
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Proven experience in setting and managing KPIs and SLAs.
- Strong project and change management skills.
- Professional finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Commercial acumen and a strategic mindset aligned with business growth goals.
