 About JWPSI

The Jahjaga Women Peace and Security Institute (JWPSI) is a newly established institution under the Jahjaga Foundation that seeks to promote and institutionalize the Women, Peace and Security agenda in Kosovo and beyond. Through training, policy engagement, advocacy, and convening, JWPSI fosters inclusive leadership and sustainable peace.

Terms of Reference

The Jahjaga Women Peace and Security Institute (JWPSI) is preparing to host an international conference that will bring together international stakeholders and prominent women leaders. This event will serve as a strategic platform to promote inclusive dialogue, shape impactful policies, and foster collaborative action on issues of peace, security, and gender equality.

The conference will be a major gathering, bringing together leaders from government, civil society, academia, international organizations, philanthropy, and the private sector. They will work together to set clear priorities, build partnerships, and drive progress toward more inclusive peace and security efforts.

To lead the visioning and full organization of this conference, JWPSI is seeking a Conference Coordinator with exceptional strategic thinking, creativity, and logistical expertise.

Main Responsibilities

The Conference Coordinator will work closely with the JWPSI team and external partners to develop the full concept, structure, and implementation plan for the conference. Key responsibilities include:

• Develop the overall theme, concept, and structure of the international conference.
• Propose session formats and potential strategic partnerships aligned with the conference objectives.
• Identify high-level speakers and contributors from global institutions, governments, civil society, and academia.

• Draft a comprehensive work plan and timeline for all stages of the conference,
• Coordinate with the JWPSI team, vendors, media, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and manage the list of invitees, speakers, panelists, moderators, and participants jointly with JWPSI team,
• Coordinate with the communications team to design and implement a visibility strategy for the conference.

• Contribute to the creation of promotional materials, press outreach, and live coverage.
• Ensure documentation of conference outcomes and production of post-event reports or follow-up strategies.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a motivated and creative person with a strong passion for gender equality, peacebuilding, and global collaboration. The ideal candidate will be:

• Creative and capable of designing compelling and event concepts,

• Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously,
• Culturally competent, able to engage diplomatically with diverse stakeholders,
• Responsive and adaptable, with excellent problem-solving abilities under pressure,
• Team-oriented, but also confident in leading independent tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in international relations, Political Science, Gender Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience organizing high-level national or international events.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Albanian.
• Strong knowledge of the WPS agenda and global gender policy frameworks is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to connect with senior officials, institutions, and international guests with discretion and professionalism.
• Experience working with donor-funded programs or civil society organizations is an advantage.
