Full-Stack Developer (Python / Node.js / React / AWS)
Overview
We’re looking for a Full-Stack Developer capable of operating across backend, frontend, and infrastructure — someone who can build and ship fast, take ownership of features end-to-end, and make scalable technical decisions.
You’ll join a small, highly technical team building an AI-powered video search platform used by leading global brands in media, fashion, and entertainment.
The ideal candidate is independent, reliable, and enjoys solving AI and data infrastructure challenges in a remote setup.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable web application features across backend and frontend.
- Work closely with the CTO and founding engineers to integrate AI models and data pipelines into production.
- Maintain and optimize the core video search engine and APIs (video ingestion, vector search, similarity scoring).
- Develop performant frontend experiences for client applications and internal dashboards.
- Ensure infrastructure scalability using Kubernetes, AWS, and CI/CD, while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Own delivery from specification to deployment, including testing, monitoring, and documentation.
- Collaborate asynchronously with a remote, distributed engineering team.
Requirements
Must Have:
- 4+ years of experience as a Full Stack or Software Engineer.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Node.js (Rust is a plus).
- Experience building scalable web applications and working with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
- Solid understanding of databases, API design, and asynchronous systems.
- Frontend proficiency with React.js or Vue.js, and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
- Excellent communication skills and reliability in a remote, async environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with vector databases (e.g., Qdrant, OpenSearch).
- Knowledge of video processing or ML pipelines.
- Passion for AI, data, and media products.
- Prior experience in a startup or early-stage product environment.
