We are pleased to announce an opening for the position of Risk Engineer, offering candidates the opportunity to join the team of our partners in Libya. Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, analyse, and assess project risks relating to schedules, costs, scope, coordination, and contractual matters.
- Monitor project activities to identify potential risks and early warning signs.
- Identify and track indicators of delays, scope changes, and risks related to claims.
- Maintain and regularly update risk registers, action logs, and escalation records.
- Monitor defined risk mitigation measures and coordinate actions with relevant project stakeholders.
- Analyse information received from consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders and consolidate it into a clear overview from the investor’s perspective.
- Monitor risks related to project controls and project performance.
- Identify gaps, non-compliance, and potential issues that may affect project delivery.
- Escalate significant project risks in a timely manner and prepare relevant information for management.
- Ensure accurate, complete, and verifiable documentation of risks, actions, and escalations.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to monitor risks and agreed actions.
- Prepare structured project risk reports and overviews to support management and decision-making.
- Use Excel, PowerPoint, and risk-tracking tools for analysis, record-keeping, and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Degree in engineering, civil engineering, project management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Experience on construction or infrastructure projects is required.
- Experience working for an investor, consultant, in project controls, or in contract administration is an advantage.
