Trainee Position
The Austrian Development Agency (ADA) is the Operational Unit of the Austrian Development Cooper-ation (ADC). It is in charge of implementing all bilateral programmes and projects in ADC's partner countries and administers the budget earmarked for this.
The Coordination Office (CO) of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) in Pristina/Kosovo (PRN) is looking for a graduate local Trainee. This Internship/Trainee programme is a paid position and de-signed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the Intern/Trainee will use skills acquired in School and University and gain a better understanding of working in an international development set-ting.
Position: full time / 40 hours/week (Monday – Friday)
Tentative starting date: 12 April 2021
Expected duration: Temporary contract for 6 months with the possibility of extension for another 6-month period (end of contract: 11 April 2022)
Location: Pristina, Kosovo
Duties & Responsibilities
under the guidance and supervision of the Program Manager (PM) of Economic Development and PM of Education and will closely work with the Head of Country Office (HoO) and other office-colleagues and assist in:

All content-related tasks related to ADC projects along the whole project cycle
Online research, analysis of information, create presentations and reporting on issues relevant for ADC, such as: gender, environment, social impact, GAP II- and SDGs or Human Rights
Participation in meetings relevant for ADC in Kosovo, Austrian Embassy Pristina and respective reporting
Supports the team in accordance with their instructions
Performs translation in English, German and Albanian/Serbian, when necessary
Other general tasks as requested by the PM’s or HoO.

Requirements:

Completed Bachelor’s or equivalent degree no earlier than three years ago, in Business & Ad-ministration, Economics, Education, International Relations, or other related fields
Preferable knowledge in project cycle management
Highly motivated with a strong interest or background in development cooperation
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, high flexibility
Ability to work with a diverse group of people, both independently and as part of a team
Ability to prioritize and perform a variety of administrative tasks
Gender and diversity competence
Albanian language at native speaker level
Proficiency in English language (minimum B2) including very good writing and editing skills
Knowledge of German is desirable, but not mandatory
Excellent computer skills (MS Office, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Prior office experience is desirable
