USAID Funded Export-led Growth Activity

IESC – the International Executive Service Corps – is a US based not-for-profit with a focus on supporting small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and generating equitable and sustainable economic growth globally. Since 1964, we have designed and implemented a wide range of market driven solutions for SMEs and along entire value chains. We have worked in partnership with local people in over 130 countries and strengthened industries, financial institutions, and governments leading ta better economic environment, new markets, and increased opportunity and growth.    

IESC is seeking candidates with substantial experience in developing skilled workforce to meet the needs of private sector implementing the anticipated Export-led Growth Activity in Kosovo. The activity will enhance the competitiveness of small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the local, regional and international markets focusing on SME sophistication, developing a skilled workforce, and increasing SMEs’ access to finance.

The positions will develop, lead, and implement effective workforce development strategies for the five-year long program. The positions are long-term and based in Kosovo.

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in business, economics, international development, or other relevant field;
  • Outstanding knowledge of workforce development theories and practices and ability to develop targeted strategies that yield results;
  • Demonstrated understanding of workforce development needs and opportunities in Kosovo;
  • Outstanding ability to network and mobilize industry stakeholders;
  • Minimum of five years of experience in managing discrete components of development programs focused on economic growth, job creation, or SME development;
  • Proven experience in delivering high quality deliverables;
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills;
  • English proficiency is required;
  • Knowledge of European and regional markets is an advantage;
  • Proficiency in English is required;
  • USAID or other donor experience is preferred.
