USAID Funded Export-led Growth Activity

We have worked in partnership with local people in over 130 countries and strengthened industries, financial institutions, and governments leading to a better economic environment, new markets, and increased opportunity and growth.

IESC is seeking candidates with substantial leadership and technical experience for the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) position under the anticipated Export-led Growth Activity in Kosovo. The activity will enhance the competitiveness of small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the local, regional and international markets focusing on SME sophistication, developing a skilled workforce, and increasing SMEs’ access to finance.

The DCOP positions will provide technical leadership and management oversight to the project components, with specific focus on increasing and maintaining technical rigor, meeting performance targets, and ensuring efficiency in the delivery of the development services. The position is long-term and based in Kosovo.

Required Qualifications:

  • Advance degree in business, economics, finance, international development or other related field;
  • Outstanding and demonstrated leadership, team building, and management skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills;
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in leading or managing development programs or key components;
  • Previous DCOP experience is an advantage;
  • Substantial experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems and their implementation;
  • Proven experience in delivering high quality deliverables;
  • Outstanding knowledge of SME competitiveness, workforce development, and access to finance theories and practices;
  • Demonstrated understanding of key issues and opportunities in Kosovo in the fields of SME competitiveness, workforce development and finance;
  • Outstanding ability to network and mobilize stakeholders;
  • Proficiency in English;
  • USAID or other donor experience;
