Through the project “Strengthening Social Service Provision for the Most Vulnerable Groups in Kosovo in Response to Covid-19”, financed by European Union Office in Kosovo, Save the Children Kosova/o aims to contribute to an effective transformation of the social services system in Kosovo to improve quality and availability of the local social and community-based services for children and vulnerable people living at social risk. This will be achieved through three (3) components: Enhancing availability of and accessibility to social services; Strengthening the capacities to enhance the adequacy, effectiveness, efficiency, affordability and quality of the social services; and Awareness raising and advocacy.
The current task is related with the provision of direct supervision of social service providers of the 47 Sub-Grantees (licensed NGOs and shelters providing social services) with more than 100 service providers. Thematic experts/Supervisors will offer case consultation and supervision, assist social service providers in complex cases by providing feedback, helping service providers navigate ethical dilemmas, proposing strategies for effective client engagement and intervention as well as proposing self-care practices to prevent burnout. Through creating a supportive environment, non-formal service providers will have the opportunity to discuss their challenges and stressors that they face on their work with clients. Overall, Thematic experts/Supervisors will offer support and guidance to help social service providers deliver effective and impactful services to their clients while promoting their professional growth and well-being.
Save the Children Kosova/o is looking for three (3) Thematic Experts/ Supervisor / local Company to deliver supervision for service providers at 1.5 hours per session in each 47 licensed NGOs which are located throughout Kosovo.
For Companies: One Company that offers three thematic experts for the entire consultancy.
The contracted services will be performed in Kosovo, with field visits in seven regions of Kosovo depending on the location of the licensed NGOs/Shelters that provide social services.
The selected Thematic Expert/ Supervisor / Company will have the task of providing direct supervision services to non-formal service providers part of NGOs working directly with cases.
Experience and skills required
Save the Children Kosovo/o is seeking for Thematic Experts/ Supervisors with the necessary expertise in the social services system in Kosovo and provision of supervision sessions/services.

Status updates/reporting
The selected Thematic Expert/ Supervisor must maintain constant communication with Save the Children Kosova/o representatives throughout this period.
The assigned deliverables will be accepted by:
- Project Manager within 5 days from the date of delivery.
Save the Children Kosova/o within the project, ‘Strengthening social service provision for the most vulnerable groups in Kosovo, in response to COVID-19’ funded by European Union Office in Kosovo, foresees to strengthen the cooperation of public and non-public service providers. Additionally, within the consultancy, Save the Children Kosova/o besides its technical role during the consultancy, feedback on proposed approaches will be provided.
Other important information
As a condition of entering into a consultancy agreement, the Company/individual(s) must sign the Save the Children International Child Safeguarding Policy and abide by the terms and conditions thereof.
