Job Summary:
As a VoIP Engineer at InterAdria L.L.C., your primary responsibility will be to assist in the maintenance and support of existing VoIP platforms, including Asterisk, Yealink, Grandstream and Cisco Collaboration.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in the design, installation, and implementation of new VoIP systems. You will work alongside experienced engineers to ensure the reliability and performance of the systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Platform Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Asterisk, Yealink, Grandstream, and Cisco Collaboration VoIP platforms to ensure optimal functionality.
- System Monitoring: Monitor VoIP systems for performance, security, and quality of service, and report any anomalies.
- Configuration Management: Help configure and update SIP trunks, extensions, and routing rules as needed.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to end-users and assist with problem resolution related to VoIP services.
- Design and Implementation: Collaborate with senior engineers to design, install, and implement new VoIP systems, ensuring they meet business requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate VoIP solutions with existing systems and services.
- Learning and Development: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in VoIP technology through continuous learning and training.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 Years’ experience with VoIP Platforms related to Asterisk, FreePBX or similar.
- Basic knowledge of VoIP technology, protocols, and concepts.
- Desirable: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Familiarity with Asterisk, Yealink, Grandstream, and Cisco Collaboration VoIP platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn and grow in the field of VoIP engineering.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Enthusiasm for technology and a proactive attitude towards troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA Collaboration are a plus.
