Job Opportunity: VMware/Virtualization administrator

Responsibilities of a VMware/Virtualization administrator
- Uses and manages virtualization software such as VMware/vSphere and Hyper-V.
- Install, configure and integrate servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructure.
- Performing backups, troubleshooting and problem resolution for servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructure.
- Build highly available server clusters in a vSphere environment.
- Build and configuring virtual networks and its security.
- Installs new applications and helps configure them including web servers, OS, and infrastructure components.
- Continuously improve the server's performance by tracking and solving the issues faced by users.
- Work on exchange tasks, desktop deployments, imaging, and account creations.
- Willing to learn VMware NSX
Required skills:
- Being able to manage and fix complex issues with Windows Servers.
- Knowledge of the security of the network by leveraging different systems, such as firewalls and intrusion detection.
- Create and manage data backup on external hard drives.
- Develop recovery programs in case of any loss due to natural or man-made disasters.
- Resolves user issues of AppSense profile
- Improves systems to optimize performance
- Creates Windows server images
- Manages troubleshooting problems
- Works to manage NAS storage
- Monitors SAN using the VPLEX user interface
- Deploys new servers
Professional qualifications:
- University degree in Computer Science / Informatics or equivalent professional experience (preferred)
- VMware/Virtualization Certifications preferable
- Work experience of 3 years preferable
