Job Summary

The Structural Engineer /Estimator intern will work on creating and maintaining 3D/2D steel and light gauge steel models of the building. He/she will deliver the takeoffs related to Structural Framing and Steel. Revising the drawings, and coordinating them to the remaining Structural Drawings, MEPs (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and Architectural drawings, respectively. He/She should be able to prepare the scope of work related to these trades and take an active part in the RFQ process. Moreover, he/she shall be able to communicate clearly with the other team members and work closely with the respective Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with the engineering team to create detailed 2D and 3D models as needed, including identifying project objectives and constraints.
• Identifying discrepancies between drawings and coordinating them with the Consultants 
• Generate documentation and shop drawings for BIM Models, fabrication, and field installation.
• Provide take-offs related to Structural Steel and Light Gauge Steel
• Preparation of material specifications and quantities as required during the RFQ process and work closely with the respective Procurement Specialist
• Coordinating with other team members to ensure that the BIM model is up to date with the latest Architectural, Structural and MEP Drawings

Job Requirements

• Fresh Graduate or last year student in Civil Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of CAD packages (Revit, Advance Steel, and AutoCAD) and other BIM software is preferred.
• Knowledge of Vertex is preferable.
• Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office package
• Advanced level of written and spoken English proficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
