Job Description
ISBANK Kosovo is looking for a highly motivated and committed Data Protection Officer. This position will be primarily responsible for data protection supervision in compliance with the data protection regulations and the Bank policies and guidelines.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- To identify and evaluate Bank’s processing activities of personal data;
- To inform and advise the Bank and its employees who carry out processing of personal data, on their obligations pursuant to the Law and regulations in force on personal data protection;
- To provide advice, where requested, regarding data protection impact assessment and to monitor its performance pursuant to the law and regulations on protection of personal data;
- To cooperate with the Information and Privacy Agency as well as with the companies and organizations that process personal data on behalf of the Bank;
- To act as the contact point for the Agency on issues relating to processing, and to consult, where appropriate, with regard to any other matter;
- To monitor the implementation of legislation on protection of personal data and determine whether there is a need to alter Banks’ procedures to comply with respective legislation;
- To provide trainings for employees in regards of the law on protection of personal data;
- To follow up the changes in the law and issue recommendations to ensure compliance with it;
- Any other issue related to the data protection.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required preferably in Law; Master degree would be an asset;
- Experience in banking sector with some specialization in Data Protection is highly preferred;
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in Albanian, English and preferably Turkish languages to communicate efficiently between authorities, stakeholders, Head Office and local staff;
- Knowledge and experience in implementing legal requirements related Data Protection in banking sector, including an in-depth understanding of the GDPR;
- Understanding of information technologies and data security;
- Ability to promote a data protection culture within the organization;
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Proficient, or able to gain proficiency with, a broad array of security software applications and tools;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs;
- Excellent organizational, time management and supervisory skills.
