Title: Business Development Manager
Duration: Full-time
Reports to: Managing Director
Overview:
Optima Energy Consulting is a niche economics and regulation consulting practice covering the energy and water sectors. We specialize in providing expert advice and solutions to clients in the energy and water sectors, including governments, regulators, utilities and development organizations. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for Optima Energy Consulting, aligned with the company's vision, mission, and values.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitors in the energy sector.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders in the energy industry, including government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and private companies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including the preparation of proposals, presentations, and contracts.
- Participate in project planning and execution, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet clients' expectations.
- Lead and manage a team of business development professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and training as needed.
- Develop and maintain a database of clients and contacts.
- Analyze business performance metrics and provide reports and recommendations to the Managing Director.
- Represent Optima Energy Consulting at industry events, conferences, and meetings, and participate in networking activities to promote the company's brand and services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing in the energy sector or related industries.
- Proven track record of successful business development and revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of the energy industry and related policies and regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in leading and managing a team of business development professionals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
