Junior Network Engineer provides and executes configurations of Networking, secure and efficient data communication. Responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance (updating) and monitoring of all active network equipment and security, in order to ensure the proper and safe operation of customer’s network as needed. Provide status reports to Project Manager and Technical/ Team Lead on tasks accomplished, current issues, and progress toward goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Receives close supervision, and general review of all aspects of work.
2. Acquires basic knowledge and develops skills in a specific practice area.
3. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and best practices acquired during *specific period of time (*6 months - best candidates will continue with Mikkena).
4. Applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks.
5. Participate in the implementation team of approved network architecture and designs.
6. Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment, as required by assigned project; including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, etc.
7. Assists in the development and documentation of technical standards and implements approved methods of procedure.
8. Attends project meetings with the customer.
9. Understands and adheres to company internal policies and procedures.
10.MUST possess good oral and written communication skills in English language.
