Product Marketing Specialist

Product Marketing is a critical bridge between the product team and the market. The role of Product Marketing is the owner of positioning, sales tools and launch plan to the market. This is a critical role that feeds core messaging demand generation teams to empower and shape their campaign. The sales team works closes with the product marketing team to deliver sales tools that enables their sales process. Members of the Product Marketing team are also customer facing and represent the company in sale meetings, tradeshows and other events. They are the subject matter expert on our products.

This role reports to the CEO.


  • Assist in the development of product positioning and development of marketing strategy;
  • Assist in the development of the product launch plan;
  • Create consistent positioning statements, messaging and the associated proof points;
  • Aids in development of sales tools including sales plays, sales meeting decks, proposal language, brochures and data sheets;
  • Participate in the process of developing demand generation assets;
  • Always represent the company and with virtually any audience to explain the customer-led benefits which includes trade shows and other events;
  • Create and present at conferences and company events;
  • Ability to demonstrate;
  • Analyze sales data and channel information and then create plans to improve sales most likely using marketing and sale techniques;
  • Develop deep understanding of how a product is sold and the channels they are sold into;
  • Develop subject matter expertise in the products and the market that the product serves;
  • Provide feedback to the product team.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, possibly including some copywriting skills;
  • Excellent teamwork skills;
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority;
  • The ability to influence and work collaboratively with sales, marketing and Product Management is especially important.


  • 1 to 2 years B2B, product/service and segment marketing experience;
  • Prior experience working in a similar capacity for a consultancy or software vendor, preferred;
  • Bachelor’s degree or MBA;
  • International experience;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and works well with all levels within and outside organization;
  • Detail oriented and clear communicator, both written and oral;
  • Strong team player;
  • Ability to be self-sufficient and work in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple tasks;
  • Strong operational and business acumen;
  • Strong PC skills, proficient with all MS office products, and
