Role summary:

We are looking for a Junior Insight Analyst to manage the production of regular insight analysis for our internal and external stakeholders. Your outputs will support business decision making, strategy development and tactical delivery so enable the successful delivery of our data operation and Digital strategy. This is a new role created as a consequence of additional investment in the data function at GDS and will be pivotal across the business supporting both GDS Summits and MeetTheBoss in project matching, campaign analysis, social media effectiveness and post-event feedback. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of marketing analysis and the value of quality data, be naturally curious about developing marketing insights with good attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own the delivery of pre, during and post campaign analytics and reporting to provide a rapid response on campaign performance and achievement of KPIs
  • Provide insightful reporting and understanding of our customer and prospect bases to assist with campaign planning and data volumes against our grading criteria
  • Run regular project reports and an initial review of outputs/ insights to assist with summits matching
  • Output regular post event survey reports including event following requirements and satisfaction scores
  • Work with Digital stakeholders to provide ad hoc analysis / specific project deliverables to help with continuous process improvement
  • Work closely with the Data Operations team to ensure that the rules for correct data input are clear and documented to ensure a quality data asset

Required experience:

  • Analytical experience, excellent attention to detail, naturally curious about seeing trends in data and effective problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with marketing disciplines, particularly CRM, Data and Digital
  • Ability to manipulate data quickly and efficiently using Excel (intermediate level)
  • Experience in Google Analytics (intermediate level)
  • Excellent working knowledge of data privacy laws applicable to country and contact channel (e.g. GDPR) and how these translate to business use
  • Business acumen, highly organized with the ability to “make it happen” and deliver outputs to an agreed schedule
  • Good written/ oral communication skills and experience of explaining analysis themes to a non-data audience
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively and with a remote, multi-location team
  • Highly numerate with preferably a marketing degree with a significant analytics content
  • English language score:

Desired experience:

  • Experience of programming and manipulating large, complex datasets
  • SAS or SQL working knowledge
  • CRM knowledge, ideally Salesforce.com
