The role: Thematic Specialist in Child Protection (TSCP)

Qualifications and experience

  • University Degree in social science /child rights or related field (Master Degree is an advantage)
  • Knowledge of current global programming in Child Protection
  • 3-5 years of technical leadership experience in the implementation and development of rights-based programs (specific to Child Protection programmes is an advantage)
  • Proven skills and experience in undertaking assessments and designing/writing quality technical proposals in the sectors
  • Proven experience in programme development, project cycle management and monitoring and evaluation related to the sector including writing up high quality project/donor reports
  • Proven experience and skills in advocacy and building work relationships with local/national governments, civil society and influencing institutional, private and/or corporate donors
  • Solid experience and excellent skills in capacity building of systems, staff, partners and other actors related to rights (specific to Child Protection programmes is an advantage)
  • Excellent Computer skills [Microsoft Office], interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills will be considered a definite advantage.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to all parts of the country and abroad.

Contract length: Until 31.12.2019 (with possibility of extension)
